 | The point tool displays rectangular
or polar coordinates of the cursor. It also plots points onto the
graph and can trace around function
curves.
|
 | The line tool displays a line
segment or a vector on the graph view. Click and drag to change the segment
length and gradient. As the line is
moved, the displayed linear equation is continuously updated. Plot
the line or vector by pressing the space bar. Function
graphs can capture the displayed line as a moveable tangent.
|
 | The ellipse tool has two
modes, ellipse or circle. In ellipse mode, the mouse cursor displays
an ellipse with directrices and foci. Click and drag to change the ellipse
size and shape, or the circle area. The displayed equation is continuously
updated. Plot the curves by pressing the space bar.
|
 | The parabola tool displays
two kinds of parabolas plus the directrix and focus. Click
and drag to change the shape of the parabola. The equation of the
parabola is updated to reflect the changes. Press the space bar to plot the
displayed curves and points.
|
 | The sine tool displays the
mouse cursor as a sine or a cosine curve. Click and drag to change amplitude,
period and phase. Press the space bar to plot the displayed curve.
|
 | The normal tool displays the
mouse cursor as a normal curve. The
mean and standard deviation are calculated and continuously updated
as the shape of the curve is changed. Click and drag the mouse to change the
curve shape, and press the space bar to plot.
|
 | The intersection tool
finds accurate intersections between
function graphs, or graphs and axes. Click the mouse cursor near the
intersection point and it is calculated instantly and accurately.
|
 | The turning point tool
finds accurate turning points
on function graphs. Click the mouse cursor on the function graph near the
turning point.
|
 | The linear
programming tool provides a moveable
objective function that can be used to locate linear programming
solutions on the graph view.
|
 | The integral tool finds definite
integrals and areas under graphs by a simple click and drag
technique. The values are updated continuously as the mouse is dragged on
the graph view.
|
 | The angle tool displays a
moveable arc to measure angles on
the graph view. The angle tool works even if the 'x' and 'y' scales
are different, and gives results in degrees, radians and multiples of pi.
|
 | The text label tool is
for putting descriptive text labels on the graph view. |
